Are you looking for a certain breed that we don't currently have available for adoption? Potential adopters often ask if we can let them know if a certain breed comes into the shelter. The great news is that there is a system that can do that for us! It just takes a few simple steps on your part.
Our adoptable animals are uploaded to Adopt-a-Pet through the database we use. If you can't find the type of animal you are searching for (specific breed, age, size, color, etc.), you can easily set up an alert through Adopt-a-Pet. There are two options: a free alert, in which your search will be run once a day, and you will receive an email within 24 hours of having a new match. You can also sign up for Premium Alerts and get instant real-time notifications with a new match for $10 a month. (You can cancel at any time.)
We love partnering with Adopt-a-Pet because, not only do they work with shelters and rescues to find adopters for animals, but they also work with people who need to rehome their animals. Their Rehome feature helps keep animals out of shelters that are already full.
