Microchipping

Microchipping

Why microchip? The procedure can provide several benefits, like permanent pet identification and a better chance of recovering your pet.

PHS offers microchipping service to anyone who wants this for their pet. Microchipping is like a permanent ID tag that connects your beloved furry friend to you. The process is simple and takes about 5-10 minutes, most of which includes collecting the owner's information, such as address, phone number, and email address. None of your information is given out unless you permit us. Once the process is completed in the PetPoint database, the microchip is registered to you. The cost is $40.00, and no appointment is necessary. You do need to bring proof of ownership.

The microchip is about the size of a piece of long-grain rice and is inserted under your pet's skin with a needle.

Free Lost Pet Services are available to all microchips registered with 24PetWatch. There is no charge to you! You will receive found pet notifications via automated calls and emails, which means there are more attempts to contact a pet parent when the missing pet is found.

Pet Parents will also have 24/7 access to their online profile, which provides them with the ability to update important contact information. This will lead to a more accurate microchip database and helps to reunite lost pets with their parents faster, which is always a good thing for pet parents and shelters alike!

With the Free Lost Pet Service, the ability to report a lost or found pet online is also available. Having the ability to do this online, with no wait time, and a quick and easy process is crucial in what can be a very stressful time for someone who is missing their furry family member.
